When using a longitudinal seam welding pipe machine, we need to pay attention to the problems that may arise. Below, Xin Feixiang welding pipe machine will introduce some of the faults encountered when using a longitudinal seam welding pipe machine:
1. Scratches
Scratches on the pipe billet during the production process of the longitudinal seam welding pipe machine are mainly caused by two parts: the guiding mechanism and the extrusion welding mechanism.
1.1 Scratches of the guiding mechanism
Scratches in the guiding part generally occur on both sides of the pipe billet. Unreasonable adjustment of the guiding structure with guiding sleeves may cause frictional scratches on the upper and lower surfaces of the pipe billet. The main reason is that the height position of the guiding sleeve is incorrect, or the bearings of the upper and lower guiding rollers are damaged, which cannot effectively control the pipe billet, causing friction with the guiding sleeve and forming scratches.
1.2 Scratches from the extrusion welding mechanism
Scratches caused by the extrusion rollers mainly occur at the bottom of the pipe billet. The reasons are mainly the mismatch of the die, the mismatch of the lower edge of the extrusion roller die and the height of the rolling line, and insufficient extrusion pressure on the extrusion roller.

2.1 Continuous lap welding
Lap welding refers to the misaligned bonding formed after the two edges of the pipe billet overlap. In terms of length, lap welding can be long or short. Continuous lap welding is generally several meters or even longer. In terms of misalignment, there is slight misalignment of a few tenths of a millimeter, and misalignment equal to the wall thickness. The main reasons for continuous lap welding are as follows: ① Axial movement of the extrusion roller ② Bearing damage ③ Bending of the extrusion roller shaft ④ Large extrusion pressure ⑤ Inclination of the guide roller ⑥ Different bottom diameters of the upper guide roller
2.2 Periodic lap welding
Periodic lap welding of the longitudinal seam welding pipe machine is characterized by intermittent occurrence, sometimes present and sometimes absent. Sometimes the length of the lap welding is slightly longer, several centimeters or even tens of centimeters, and sometimes it is slightly shorter, ranging from one to two centimeters. Sometimes the lap welding appears at relatively regular equal distances, and sometimes it appears irregularly. Periodic lap welding generally occurs in the middle and late stages of production, mainly caused by the following reasons:
① Guide ring rupture ② Die wear ③ Foreign objects on the die arc surface ④ Wobble ⑤ Bearing damage
2.3 Open seam
An open seam refers to the phenomenon where the weld seam is not bonded together. The length of the open seam is generally several centimeters or even longer. The main reasons are as follows:
① Die wear ② Bearing damage ③ Magnet rod ④ Material
